CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

Health Research and Innovation Science Centre of Klaipeda University Faculty of Health Sciences (Lithuania), Lithuanian Bioethics Committee and The Council for Research in Values and Philosophy (USA) invites to take part at the international conference “Wellbeing, Artificial Intelligence and the Ethical Challenges“ which will be held at Klaipėda University, Faculty of Health Sciences (Herkaus Manto 84, LT-92294, Klaipėda) on 26-27 October, 2023. The language of the Conference is English. The conference will be held online.

THEME

Science determines the welfare of society. However, in the face of modern globalization, scientific and technological development must be guided by ethical norms and principles in order to keep the world safe. The conference will focus on the ethical challenges posed by the modern technology and artificial intelligence (AT). The application of AT in medicine is based on cognitive psychology, neurology, genetics, philosophy, linguistics, mathematics, logic, communication, etc. According to scientific data, it is regulated by the laws of the country, which are formed taking into consideration the traditions of the people, religion, and cultural heritage. Interdisciplinarity and technological advances change attitudes towards medicine and health care, raise the questions on the boundaries of intervention in personal life. Also, they expose existential issues.

CALL FOR PAPERS

An abstract of 300 words should be submitted via Registration form by 10 October 2023.

Presentations (in English): 20 min. and 5 min. for discussions.
